Following the England Hockey School Competition Framework and in partnership with our member Counties, the South East Area offer Area Finals in wide range of school competitions for both boys and girls from U11 through to U18 some of which progress to National Finals.
The National Schools’ competitions are organised across the Under 18, 16, 14, 13 and 11 age groups.
England Hockey is responsible for organising the Under 18 (Tier 1, 2 & 3) and Under 16 (Tier 1 & 2) competitions. Entry details and further information can be found on the England Hockey Schools Championships page.
South East Hockey will be responsible for organising and running the following Schools Competitions:
Outdoor Hockey
- Under 18 Tier 3
- Under 16 Tier 3
- Under 16 Tier 4 - emerging schools 7-a-side
- Under 14 Tier 2
- Under 14 Tier 3 - emerging schools 7-a-side
In2hockey
- Under 13 Tier 1 - leading to National Finals
- Under 13 Tier 2 - competition at Sub Area level
- Under 12 - leading to Area Finals
- Under 11 - leading to Area Finals
- Under 10 - competition at Sub Area level
Indoor Hockey for boys and girls in both Under 18 and Under 16 age groups.

South East Hockey is collating contact details for as many schools as would be interested in getting more information about hockey, including finding links to local clubs if required.
We wish to be as inclusive as possible and for this reason are trying to keep entry fees as low as possible and ask schools to support this by letting us use their facilities free of charge whenever possible.
