Call for Nominations: South East Hockey - Committee Chairs and Governance Director

South East Hockey invites nominations for Chairs of Masters, Adult League and Competitions, and Junior committees, plus the Governance Director board position, ahead of the 2026 AGM. These roles drive organisation, development, and delivery of hockey for over 400 teams across Kent, Surrey, and Sussex.

Committee Chair Roles

Chairs lead the committees within South East Hockey for Masters, Adult League and Competitions, and Juniors. As per the articles that govern our organisation, these roles become open for nomination each year, ahead of the AGM. The Junior Co-Chairs were recently appointed by the board, but inline with the articles, these roles require call for nomination ahead of the AGM.

Nominations must be submitted in writing to governance@southeast.hockey by relevant deadlines, with review by the Nominations Committee and election at the AGM for these positions.

The current role holders for these Chair positions are below, along with their intentions for the 2026/27 Season;

• Master Chair - Kay Parsons : standing for re-election 
• Adult League & Competitions - Charlotte Hope : standing for re-election
• Junior Co Chairs - David Parsons & Natasha Hookway : standing for election
  Governance Director Nomination

South East Hockey invites Member Clubs to nominate candidates for the Governance Director position for the 2026 AGM on 14 July 2026. Nominations must be submitted in writing to governance@southeast.hockey and operations@southeast.hockey. Any nomination for the Governance Director position must be received by Friday, 15 May 2026, which is the hard deadline and 56 clear days before the 14 July 2026 AGM, and include;

• The name of the candidate.
• Confirmation that the candidate is proposed and seconded by a Member Club.
• Candidate particulars.
• The candidate’s consent to act.
  Robert Harrison, who serves as Governance Director, and is seeking re-election, is one of the longest-serving Directors, and the Governance Note identifies him as subject to retirement by rotation at the 2026 AGM. His re-election has been proposed by K Sports Hockey Club and seconded by the South East Hockey Chair.

Key dates

• 15 May 2026: Final deadline for nominations to be received by the Company and N&R Committee.
• By 22 May 2026: N&R Committee to endorse nominations and prepare the schedule of nominees.
• 14 July 2026: 2026 AGM.

Other volunteer opportunities

South East Hockey is also seeking nominations or expressions of interest for other vacant or additional volunteer roles, including Divisional Representatives, TAP Lead, and EHO Members Representative. These roles are important to the running of the organisation, and any Member who feels they can contribute is encouraged to come forward.
