Super 6s Finals

Congratulations to all the South East teams who took part in the Super 6s this season concluding with finals day at Derby on 26th January.

Following qualification from the leagues stages, Old Georgians men, and East Grinstead women both retained the titles they won in 2024.

The women were up first and after brushing aside Sutton Coldfield 8-1 in the semi-finals, East Grinstead battled past Surbiton 6-3 in the final to secure the trophy.  The game was tied at 2-2 after ten minutes with Chloe Brown and Biba Mills scoring for EG before EG edged ahead though a second goal from Chloe followed quickly by one for Summer Knight-Thompson.  Surbiton pulled one back but Chloe (completing her hat trick) and Carlota Gomez sealed the win late on.

After beating fellow South East representatives, East Grinstead 8-4 in the semi finals, Old Georgians defeated Wimbledon 7-4 in the final. OGs sprinted into 6-0 lead through goals from Dan Shingles (2), Chris Griffiths (2), Tom Carson and Edward Carson before Wimbledon fought back late in the game until a second goal from Tom Carson put the result beyond doubt to once again take home the spoils and conclude the Super 6s for another season.
