A Nationwide Celebration of Hockey Clubs
Hockey Uncut would like to introduce a new initiative called Every Pitch Matters and is asking for your support in helping them reach clubs within the South East Area.
Every Pitch Matters is an ambitious long-term project that aims to visit hockey clubs across England, celebrating the volunteers, players, coaches, umpires and facilities that keep our sport alive.
The concept is simple:
🏑 Visit clubs across the country
🎥 Create engaging content that showcases their people and stories
📸 Highlight the unique character of each club
🤝 Recognise the volunteers who make hockey possible
🏟️ Celebrate the pitches and facilities that support our game
As part of each visit, Hockey Uncut will take on the host club in a light-hearted Penalty Stroke Challenge, whilst also interviewing key club figures and capturing content that both the club and Hockey Uncut can use to promote hockey.
This is not an inspection, assessment or ranking exercise.
The purpose is simply to celebrate grassroots hockey and create positive content that shines a spotlight on clubs of all sizes and at all levels.
Hockey Uncut believes that every club has a story worth telling and every pitch deserves recognition.
To help make this project a success, we would be incredibly grateful if you could:
✅ Share details of the initiative with clubs in your area
✅ Encourage clubs to register their interest
✅ Suggest clubs with unique stories, histories or community projects
✅ Help us identify volunteers and individuals who deserve recognition
We are particularly keen to ensure the project reaches a broad range of clubs, from large multi-team clubs through to smaller community clubs that may not often receive wider recognition.
Over time, Every Pitch Matters will continue to evolve, with additional challenges, features and community initiatives being introduced to further benefit clubs and the wider hockey community.
